Responsibilities

Interns at SANParks will be assigned various tasks depending on their department, including: Assisting with conservation projects and wildlife monitoring. Supporting administrative, research, and operational tasks. Engaging with visitors and promoting environmental awareness. Conducting fieldwork, data collection, and report writing. Collaborating with teams to improve park management strategies.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the SANParks Internship Programme 2025, applicants must: Be South African citizens. Hold relevant National Diploma or Degree in fields such as Environmental Science, Conservation, Tourism, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, IT, or related disciplines. Have no prior formal work experience.

Experience

No work experience is required, making it an excellent opportunity for recent graduates. Any prior volunteer work, fieldwork, or academic projects related to conservation or park management will be advantageous.

Skills

Strong passion for environmental conservation and sustainability. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Problem-solving and analytical thinking. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, research tools, etc.).Ability to work independently and in diverse environments.
