We are excited to offer a 12-month ICT Internship Programme designed to provide graduates with valuable exposure and hands-on experience in various aspects of Information and Communication Technology. This programme will allow interns to gain practical skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals in the ICT Department.
As an ICT Intern, you will be involved in a range of activities that cover several key performance areas, including:
- IT Security, Risks, and Continuity Management: Assisting in the development and implementation of IT security measures and risk management strategies to safeguard the organization's data and infrastructure.
- IT Service Management: Supporting the management of IT services to ensure that they meet the required standards and are delivered efficiently.
- IT Infrastructure, Operations, and Applications Management: Gaining hands-on experience in maintaining and managing the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
- Project Management: Assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of ICT projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
- Business Analysis: Analyzing business requirements and providing IT solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Change Management Processes: Supporting the management of changes to IT systems and processes to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth transitions.
- Network and Computer Systems: Gaining practical experience in managing and troubleshooting network and computer systems.
- ICT Governance: Assisting in ensuring that ICT practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Educational Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
- Citizenship: South African citizen with a valid South African Identity document.
- Passion for Public Service: A genuine interest in public service and a desire to work within the financial sector.
- Academic Excellence: Strong academic background with high levels of integrity.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work in a stressful environment, with a willingness to learn and work extra hours as needed.
