We are seeking passionate and dedicated psychology interns to join our team at the Department of Employment & Labour in South Africa. As a psychology intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in various aspects of psychology, including counseling, research, and psychological assessments.
- Assist in conducting psychological assessments for individuals seeking employment services.
- Provide counseling and support to employees dealing with workplace-related issues.
- Collaborate with senior psychologists to develop and implement interventions to improve workplace well-being.
- Conduct research on topics related to employment, labor, and mental health.
- Assist in the development of training programs aimed at enhancing employee mental health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and assessments.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Fluency in English (proficiency in other South African languages is desirable).
- Hands-on experience in a government setting, contributing to the betterment of society.
