Responsibilities
  • Rotational Assignments: Engage in diverse rotational assignments across various departments within DBSA, including but not limited to project finance, risk management, research and development, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the execution of development projects, from conceptualization to implementation, by conducting research, analysis, and providing operational assistance.
  • Learning and Development: Participate in structured training sessions, workshops, and seminars tailored to enhance your technical skills, industry knowledge, and professional competencies.
  • Mentorship: Receive guidance and mentorship from seasoned professionals within DBSA, who will provide insights, feedback, and support to facilitate your career growth and personal development.
  • Networking: Build relationships with peers, mentors, and industry stakeholders through networking events, conferences, and community engagement initiatives, fostering a strong professional network within the development finance sector.
  • Innovation and Problem-Solving: Contribute fresh ideas, innovative solutions, and critical thinking to address complex challenges and drive sustainable development impact across the Southern African region.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project progress, outcomes, and lessons learned, ensuring transparency and accountability in all initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong academic background with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
  • Passion for development finance, sustainability, and making a positive impact on communities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
