As a VW YES Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience, develop essential skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that align with Afrika Tikkun's mission and objectives.
- Project Support: Collaborate with experienced professionals to support various projects and initiatives within Afrika Tikkun's programs, including but not limited to education, skills development, healthcare, and community development.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research, gather data, and analyze information to inform program development, evaluation, and decision-making processes.
- Community Engagement: Engage with beneficiaries, community members, and stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and promote active participation in Afrika Tikkun's initiatives.
- Documentation and Reporting: Assist in documenting project activities, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records to track progress, outcomes, and impact.
- Learning and Development: Take advantage of training opportunities, workshops, and mentorship programs to enhance your skills, knowledge, and personal development.
- A commitment to Afrika Tikkun's mission and values.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant tertiary institution (e.g., university, college, technical school).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel and work in diverse communities across South Africa.
